Blog: cornhuskerflyfishers.org

Larry Dostal had a passion for fishing instilled in him since childhood, cutting his teeth on the urban fisheries of the Omaha Metro with his dad. Fishing the heartland for the better part of 30 years, Larry has become an accomplished multi-species angler and die-hard fly fishing enthusiast. Over the last few years, Larry has helped pioneer the booming carp fly fishing movement in Nebraska, developing innovative fly patterns and a few unorthodox techniques along the way. Larry is the current president of the Nebraska Fly Fishing Club, the Cornhusker Fly Fishers. As a guide and fly fishing mentor, Larry assisted our nation's veterans at the first annual Great Plains Golden Bonefish Invitational in the summer of 2018. As a fly fishing fanatic and entertaining speaker, Larry enjoys sharing his experiences and introducing aspiring anglers to his style of fly fishing.

Reach out to Larry on his Instagram page for his latest fishing tips, reports, and insights at instagram.com/larrydostal, and check out some of Larry's original fly patterns on the Cornhusker Fly Fishers blog cornhuskerflyfishers.org. If you're interested in a guided fly fishing outing or have a question about fly fishing, feel free to drop Larry an email at creekychub@gmail.com.

Be sure to stop by the Cornhusker Fly Fishers table and learn about fly fishing opportunities right here in the heartland. If you are interested in helping our nation's veterans enjoy the outdoors, the local chapter of Project Healing Waters will be at the Cornhusker Fly Fishers booth.
